PREMO continues to push the boundaries of smart manufacturing with the successful deployment of an advanced 5G-enabled mobile robotics system. Developed in collaboration with the University of Málaga and DEKRA, the project introduces COBOTMÓVIL—a powerful fusion of collaborative robotics, autonomous mobility, and ultra-fast 5G connectivity.

Intelligent Automation on the Move

COBOTMÓVIL integrates a collaborative robotic arm (COBOT) with an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) into a single intelligent system. The solution moves autonomously through the manufacturing facility, identifies trays using advanced computer vision, and transports them with high precision directly to the production line—completely without manual intervention.

The inclusion of 5G connectivity ensures ultra-low latency, secure real-time communication, and high system reliability, allowing smooth coordination between robotics, vision systems, and production operations.

A Practical Vision of Industry 4.0

This project is a strong example of how collaborative robotics, artificial intelligence, and 5G networks are redefining modern manufacturing under the principles of Industry 4.0. By automating internal logistics and material handling, PREMO is increasing productivity, reducing operational risks, and building a more flexible production environment.
